This stunning property in Limpsfield, Oxted has extensive south-facing views. After hedge and tree work, we were able to extend these views to the west giving the clients a truly stunning panorama. An extension to the house and the creation of new garden terraces offered many chances for using different planting styles, each adapted to the aspect and condition of the site.
Much of the scheme on the south side involves semi-transparent plants to enhance the property without reducing the views. A mediterranean planting scheme was established in a gravel garden on the hottest side of the property, the plants reflect the style of the 'Garrigue' with low, evergreen, drought tolerant planting with seasonal emergents such as summer bulbs. On the cooler, north-facing side of the property, winter flowering evergreen shrubs enhance the welcome for arriving guests with scent in the winter months.
